What better way is there to get a rest from your busy exam studying than with an evening of passive films watching? In this festival, short films from all over the world are shown, giving you enough opportunities to find an interesting film to go to.

DOT DOME Cinema: Dark Side of the Moon

Do you like Pink Floyd? Or do you like the beautiful visualisations of the DOT dome? In this event the music of Pink Floyd's album Dark Side of the Moon is combined with visuals on the dome to give you a new experience with the music.

CLASH XXL Festival /w WEVAL, Forest Swords, AMMAR 808 & more

April 6 20:00 – April 7 07:00, at Grand Theatre, OOST and Vera

Next week, Clash is taking over the city centre of Groningen with visual art, DJs, live music, installations and performances. It will be a weird yet perfect combination of a rave, an art museum and a festival you never knew you needed. With the main locations of the festival being the Grand Theatre, OOST and Vera Groningen, this will be something you don’t want to miss.

HIGH TEA Groningen

Citizen Science and the Data Avalanche

Ever looked up into the night sky and wondered what mysteries are out there? It’s not only the crazy smart astronomers that do that, and it’s not only them figuring things out. Crowdsourcing has now become a method that astronomers use to advance scientific discoveries. Professor of astronomy, Stephen Serjeant, will tell you all about it.

Lecture and Documentary Night: City of Two Springs

This night will start with two short lectures by Esther Schoorel, lecturer at the Department of Middle-Eastern Studies, and Frederick Mansell, director of the documentary City of Two Springs, about the situation in Iraq and the making of this documentary.
